Job Description

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through exceptional administrative support. Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Schedule appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes (done with AI by EMR system) Manage medical records, ensuring proper filing, documentation review, and data entry in various EHR (Electronic Health Record) Collect Copays and Coinsurance Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing clear communication and scheduling support Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times Proven experience in a medical office setting or as a medical receptionist with strong clerical skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems - eClinicalWorks (ECW) experience is a plus Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and process claims efficiently Excellent phone etiquette with multi-line phone system proficiency and strong interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills including 10-key typing for data entry Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with health information management is preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing tasks Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude Join us in delivering outstanding patient service by ensuring smooth administrative operations.
