Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Administrator / Front Desk professional to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering exceptional patient service. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help create a positive environment for patients and staff alike. You will manage appointment scheduling, insurance verification, medical and dental record keeping, and support clinical staff with administrative tasks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a busy dental clinic, contributing to patient care excellence and efficient office management. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Open Dental Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate billing processes Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures with excellent phone etiquette and multi-line phone system handling Maintain accurate dental and records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans, CDT (Current Dental Terminology) codes Process payments, handle collections related to dental services Assist with insurance claims submission and follow-up to optimize revenue cycle management Support clinical staff with administrative support such as filing, data entry, and managing patient intake forms Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information at all times Manage office supplies inventory, maintain filing systems for medical records, and oversee appointment reminders Experience Prior experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is highly preferred, especially in clinic or hospital environments Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is essential Strong knowledge of dental terminology, CDT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and insurance procedures Proven ability to handle billing and collections efficiently while maintaining high accuracy levels Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key), and familiarity with health information management software Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Experience managing multi-line phone systems and performing front desk duties in a busy dental or medical office setting is preferred Knowledge of dental terminology combined with office management skills will enhance your success in this role Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values professionalism, efficiency, and compassionate patient care.
