Job Description
Medical facility with multiple physicians has an opening for a skilled receptionist. The applicant must have excellent communication and organization skills, as well as, being detailed oriented.
Medical Receptionist Job Description:
- Welcomes patients' and visitors by greeting in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Entering or updating patients' information (insurance and personal) during the check in or checkout process.
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Comforts patients by answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records and collection of patient charges.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related task as needed.
- Maintains safe, secure and, healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating guidelines, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintain supplies and, calling for repairs.
