Medical Intake Specialist

Abilene Dermatology is seeking a front office receptionist for our busy practice. This person MUST have recent experience as a front office receptionist and MUST have knowledge of insurance and insurance referrals / authorizations.

Additional skills required:

Schedule appointments for 5 different providers. Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain processes and gather information clearly and efficiently. Detail-oriented. Accuracy is a must. Ability to manage multiple tasks, records, and appointments efficiently. Empathy and the ability to create a positive and supportive patient experience. Ability to calculate copays, coinsurance, deductibles, sales tax, etc. Ability to accept constructive criticism and to learn in a fast-paced environment.
