The Front Desk position atURGENTOLOGY CARE
is crucial for ensuring smooth operations within the medical facility. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to patients while efficiently managing administrative tasks. The Front Desk staff serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, offering a welcoming and professional environment.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct insurance verification to ensure patient coverage and eligibility. Schedule patient appointments, managing calendars and coordinating with healthcare providers. Answer phones promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Understand and comply with HIPAA and healthcare regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure legal compliance. Manage patient records and documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate effective communication and patient care. Provide information and assistance to patients and visitors, enhancing their overall experience.Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.Required Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. Experience with insurance verification and patient scheduling is highly desirable. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and HIPAA compliance is required.Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Excellent organizational skills to manage scheduling and administrative tasks efficiently. Proficiency in using medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in handling patient information and insurance details.
