Austin Health Partners (Convenient Care Clinic) is looking for a skillful part-time Front Desk Specialist to join our clinical team. Our front desk staff promote collaboration, conversation and teamwork while providing high quality administrative support and comfort to our patients. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome patients and visitors to the office by greeting in person and on the telephone; answers inquiries or refers questions to the appropriate staff member Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective utilization of examining and treatment rooms Responsible for obtaining/verifying patient demographics and verifying insurance information at each visit Perform patient check in/out At time of service, collect outstanding balances, uninsured/ private pay payments via cash, check or charge. Perform necessary cleaning duties maintaining an orderly work environment Maintain knowledge of all health forms required for each visit and verification of storage in EMR Provide an exceptional customer care experience to our patients and their families. Ethical conduct, confidentiality, and collaboration with the healthcare team are expected and considered essential elements of this position. Can maintain physical demands and work environment as listed below
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must Have High school diploma or equivalent 1 year or more of customer service experience Nice to Have Experience with Phreesia and Athena Experience with medical scheduling/ patient interaction
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and carry. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This job will require exposure to patient elements. Certain vaccines are required of all clinic staff.
COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS
If requested by any patient, then staff is required to wear a surgical mask. Patients are strongly encouraged to wear a mask if they are experiencing any acute respiratory symptoms or have a fever.
THE CORE HOURS OF CONVENIENT CARE ARE
Monday - Friday 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Sunday 10:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. Work shifts can vary depending on business needs.
