Houston, TX 77054 Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently in a fast-paced medical office environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the medical office. Answer and direct phone calls professionally and promptly. Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Verify patient information and update medical records accurately. Collect and process patient co-pays and other payments. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding office policies and procedures. Prepare and manage patient paperwork and forms. Assist with insurance verification and billing support as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional and courteous demeanor. Basic computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
