Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office and enhancing patient experiences. Duties Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate information is collected. Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with health information management standards. Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries. Assist with coding for insurance claims and ensure proper documentation. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Athena for data entry and management. Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence promptly. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and office operations. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction. Knowledge of medical office management practices, including experience in an orthopedic office setting preferred. Familiarity with coding practices and health information management principles. Proficiency in computerized systems for scheduling, billing, and record keeping. Ability to work effectively in a clinic environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
