Job Description

Job Overview Our Family owned private office in Frisco is seeking a highly organized and professional Dental Front Office Coordinator to join us. We are a hybrid practice focusing on Cosmetics and General Dentistry. The ideal candidate should be open to learning with a warm friendly personality and a team player. Experience with billing and presenting treatment plans to patients a plus. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental software systems (open dental preferred) and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and insurance processes. Bilingual abilities and prior dental office experience are preferred to ensure seamless patient service and efficient clinic management. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Open Dental. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes. Present treatment plans to patients. Collect payments, process billing, and manage accounts receivable including collections Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Assist with intake procedures, including patient registration and data entry Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and handle inquiries efficiently Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and document review Support office management duties including maintaining medical records, filing insurance claims, and coordinating clinic operations Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information Qualifications Minimum 1 yr experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Open Dental preferred Knowledge of dental terminology Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management systems Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA standards Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry Previous minimum 1 yr experience managing front desk operations in a healthcare environment is preferred
