ASAP Taxable on W2: Up to $23/Hour Spanish Required! Job Overview We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office operations, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, and the ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience in dental or medical clinics is preferred, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering a positive patient experience. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment at the front desk Schedule patient appointments using EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes Collect patient payments and process medical billing and collections accurately Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries professionally, and provide excellent phone etiquette Maintain accurate medical records, update patient information, and review documentation for completeness Assist with intake procedures, including data entry and initial patient assessments Prepare and review care plans, documentation review, and coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) as needed for billing purposes Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and health information management Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized files Use office software like Microsoft Office to generate reports or correspondence as required Coordinate with healthcare providers regarding scheduling, documentation, and other administrative support functions Handle front desk duties efficiently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of medical terminology across various specialties including dental terminology if applicable Experience with medical coding (ICD-9/10, CPT) and medical billing processes Familiarity with insurance verification procedures and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and multi-line phone systems Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Previous clinic or medical office experience preferred; dental clinic experience is advantageous Effective communication skills including phone etiquette and professional demeanor during patient interactions
