Medical Front Desk Receptionist (Pulmonary Clinic)

Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 40 hours Overview Busy pulmonary practice seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations and delivering an excellent patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Check-In & Front Desk Operations Greet patients promptly and professionally Verify demographics, insurance, and referrals Collect copays and balances Ensure all required intake forms are completed Scheduling & Phones Schedule and confirm clinic appointments Answer high-volume phone lines and route messages appropriately Provide clear instructions to patients regarding upcoming visits Fax Server & Document Management (Primary Ownership) Manage incoming electronic faxes (eFax) throughout the day Sort, attach, and route documents to the correct patient charts Identify urgent or time-sensitive items and escalate appropriately Maintain organization and accuracy within the EMR Administrative Support Scan and upload patient records into the EMR system Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information Support overall office workflow and communication between departments Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred Experience with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of insurance and copay collection preferred What We're Looking For Professional, friendly, and patient-focused Highly organized with strong attention to detail Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once Team player who supports both front desk and clinical staff Benefits (optional) Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Apply Today If you're looking to be part of a fast-paced, team-oriented pulmonary practice where your role truly makes a difference in patient care, we encourage you to apply.
