We are seeking a dependable, organized and customer-focused Front Office Receptionist to join our team. Position Summary The Front Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a key role in welcoming and creating an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients arrive until they complete their visit. The ideal candidate will be working in a fast-paced practice, possess excellent communication skills and effectively multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities Check patients in and out with a friendly and professional demeanor Verify insurance and demographic information Collect appropriate payments for services in accordance with office policies Schedule follow up appointments as needed and provide any visit instructions to patients Assist with patient registration and medical forms Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Coordinate and communicate with physicians and staff to ensure efficient patient flow Ensure the reception area remains welcoming, organized and professional Deliver exceptional patient services and create a positive experience for every patient Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred Ophthalmology or optometry experience is a plus but not required Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with attention to detail Dependable, punctual, and a team player
