The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical administrative support, patient care, and clinical procedures within diverse medical settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and physiology. The Medical Assistant/Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while supporting clinical staff with essential medical tasks. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes to ensure accurate documentation. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, documenting findings accurately in EHR systems. Support physicians and nurses with patient care activities in outpatient clinics. Maintain organized patient records, update medical histories, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and handle administrative correspondence efficiently. Assist with ICD coding for diagnoses to facilitate billing processes and ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters. Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of equipment in accordance with safety standards. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations. This is a summer temporary work position, student intern welcome, with possibility of becomes permanent full time position.
