  • Full-time ob Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team.
In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and insurance providers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient processing of insurance claims and patient information. Your proactive approach will help streamline office operations, verify insurance coverage, and maintain accurate medical records. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures at the front desk Verify patient insurance coverage through insurance portals and provider systems Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately in the electronic health records system Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times Perform insurance eligibility checks, pre-authorizations, and benefits verification using managed care protocols Assist with medical coding by applying CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards for billing purposes Manage medical records, ensuring proper documentation, organization, and secure storage of sensitive information Coordinate with medical office staff to facilitate appointment scheduling and billing processes Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical documentation and communicate effectively with providers and insurers Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or dental office setting is highly preferred Familiarity with managed care processes and insurance verification procedures is essential Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Experience with medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems is desirable Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and billing documentation Proficiency in office software applications and electronic health record systems Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within healthcare environments Join us to be a crucial part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional patient care through efficient administrative support.
