Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their insurance information, and assist with intake procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) Practice fusion,systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software like Practice fusion, Athenahealth or Dentrix, ensuring optimal clinic flow. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle billing processes including medical collection tasks and Medicare claims. Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents, reviewing documentation for completeness, and updating health information management systems. Assist with medical coding tasks such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to support billing accuracy. Support office management activities by handling clerical tasks such as data entry, typing reports with 10-key typing skills, and organizing medical files. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality during all interactions and documentation review. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure smooth clinic operations. Requirements Bilingual ( prefered ) Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment, including front desk or receptionist roles in clinics or dental offices. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Familiarity with medical billing procedures, insurance verification processes, and CPT/ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10). Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and phone etiquette. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation review and compliance.
