Medical Front Office Staffer needed for busy Ophthalmology Practice in Spring.

Position:
In this position, you will answer incoming and inter-office calls, schedule appointments and direct calls as necessary; schedule incoming referrals explain insurance benefits to patient's as needed over the phone and in person. assist in maintaining supplies, cleanliness and stock of materials for reception area. retrieve charts from other locations as needed for appointments creates, maintain, scan, files and update patient charts collect and posts charges, collect payments; including deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurance; prepare deposits collect balances as assigned by audit balance charges and collections daily scan records for upcoming appointments and electronically file to EHR cross train on all front office duties and assist with day- to- day functions as needed follow all company policies and procedures complete other duties as assigned Skills/Experience you will need: High School diploma or equivalent; bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical office setting, with previous experience in customer service required and records management preferred Knowledge of basic medical terminology Advanced EHR knowledge, Microsoft office software, the Internet and other software products as needed; general office equipment Basic knowledge of medical insurance and the ability to clearly and effectively articulate general plan benefits to patients Able to organize and manage large volumes of data and records Will travel to other offices as needed. Some Saturday morning work may be required.
Physical Requirements:
The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, bend, squat, and kneel as necessary. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Hearing should be sufficient to adequately monitor patient and visitor activity. Non-Smoking Environment.
