wichita falls, texas Posted 2 days ago Closes 7/25/2026 Job details Summary Spherion $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Temp to Perm 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Industry administrative & support services (Office and Administrative Support Occupations) Reference number S_176000 Spherion Staffing is hiring an experienced Medical Receptionist for an office in Wichita Falls, TX! Working schedule is Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm, pay is $16-18/hr depending on healthcare experience.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Schedule patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Next Gen Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks to facilitate smooth billing processes Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing inquiries promptly and efficiently Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring proper filing, documentation review, and data entry in Next Gen Take and record vital signs of patients to include temperature, BP, height, weight, and 02 saturation. Support administrative functions such as intake procedures, appointment reminders, and handling patient correspondence Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00
PM Skills:
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, including Next Gen a plus ... Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with mental health terminology and mental office management is an advantage
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with familiarity with clinic operations and front desk responsibilities. Ability to handle sensitive health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations with discretion and professionalism. Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software such as Next Gen. Organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing accuracy. Phone etiquette, typing speed, and customer service skills to ensure positive patient interactions.
