Job Description

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team to work Monday through Friday, 12:30 pm to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, medical billing, insurance verification, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and office procedures. Bilingual skills and clinic experience are highly valued to ensure seamless patient interactions and support the clinical staff effectively. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule appointments using EMR system ensuring accurate documentation review. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification tasks accurately, including Medicare and other third-party payers. Collect and process patient payments. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation management. Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; handle patient inquiries efficiently. Manage front desk operations including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies. Assist with intake procedures, including data entry of insurance information within EMR system. Support clinic staff with administrative support tasks such as filing, documentation review, and office management duties. Ensure compliance with health information management standards and assist in maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Proficiency with EMR system is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and health information management practices is essential. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing proficiency, and QuickBooks experience. Previous experience in customer service or patient service roles within a healthcare environment. High school or equivalent required.
