The team works together to deliver timely diagnoses, effective treatment plans, and ongoing preventive care. Pioneer Foot and Ankle emphasizes clear communication, compassion, and professionalism in every patient interaction. Role Description The Medical Receptionist role at Pioneer Foot and Ankle is a full-time, on-site position based in Lehi, UT. The Medical Receptionist will greet patients, check them in and out, verify demographic and insurance information, and ensure accurate and complete patient records. Daily responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, managing waiting room flow, and collecting co-pays or other payments. The role also includes handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining a clean and organized front desk area, and coordinating with clinical staff to support efficient patient care. The Medical Receptionist will use the practice's electronic systems to update charts, document communications, and assist with basic administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications Proficiency in appointment scheduling and managing patient calendars, including confirmations and follow-ups. Strong phone etiquette and reception skills, including answering calls, routing messages, and greeting patients in a professional manner. Familiarity with medical terminology and comfort working in a medical office or healthcare environment. Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records, handling patient information confidentially, and following office procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with patients, families, and team members. Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) or practice management software preferred. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced setting. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior medical receptionist or front-desk medical office experience is a plus.
