In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and strong communication skills will help streamline clinic operations, manage patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of patient service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in and check-out processes Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and conduct insurance verification using systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or Dentrix Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software such as Eaglesoft or eClinicalWorks Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, handling inquiries and directing calls appropriately Maintain accurate medical records by updating patient information and ensuring proper documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical billing and collection processes, including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and Medicare claims processing Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR systems) Coordinate intake procedures for new patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed accurately Facilitate communication between providers and patients regarding care plans and follow-up appointments
