Your energetic approach will help streamline the insurance verification process, enabling our dental professionals to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Verify dental insurance coverage by contacting insurance providers and reviewing policy details accurately and efficiently Explain insurance benefits and coverage limitations, exclusions and waiting periods to patients, if necessary. Obtain documentation from dental insurance companies as well as contacting patients to acquire required insurance information and clarify discrepancies or missing details. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by handling all patient information with confidentiality and security Collaborate with dental office staff to confirm coverage for specific procedures and clarify any insurance limitations or requirements for waiting periods Maintain detailed records of insurance verifications, updates, and communications in Eaglesoft dental records management system Assist in resolving insurance claim issues or discrepancies by liaising with insurance companies and our billing department Stay current with changes in dental insurance policies, coding standards, and insurance regulations affecting dental billing and verification processes Experience Minimum of 2 years Prior dental office experience is required Strong knowledge of dental terminology, and dental records management Familiarity with dental CDT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and medical billing procedures is a plus Experience verifying insurance benefits within dental or healthcare settings is advantageous Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office environment Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient privacy and data security Office experience demonstrating proficiency with Eaglesoft dental records systems and administrative tasks This energetic role invites motivated professionals eager to make a tangible impact on patient experiences through precise verification processes.
