Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Orthodontic Receptionist to join our vibrant Orthodnitcs team. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth clinic operations from patient intake to appointment scheduling. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule appointments efficiently using orthodontic practice management software such as Ortho edge Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks Collect payments and handle medical billing processes Manage patient records accurately Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical administrative support tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records Coordinate patient intake procedures and ensure all necessary forms are completed prior to appointments Support clinic operations by verifying insurance benefits and processing payments efficiently Requirements Proven experience in dental Receptionist in a clinical setting with ortho office experience preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and health information management practices Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Ortho edge Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and typing skills (including 10-key typing) Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in compliance with HIPAA standards Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse patient populations Strong organizational skills with experience in medical office management, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling Previous clinic or hospital experience is advantageous; familiarity with medical billing and coding processes is highly valued Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding administrative support in a friendly, energetic environment.
