Medical Receptionist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy primary care practice. The ideal candidate will have prior medical office experience and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential to ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering excellent patient service from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally Accurately document patient messages in the EMR system and route calls to appropriate staff Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information during check-in Ensure all pre-registration information entered by patients is complete and accurate Have patients review and update necessary forms and documentation Collect co-pays, balances, and other payments; record transactions accurately in the EMR Run insurance eligibility and verify coverage prior to appointments Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment Adapt to daily workflow changes and support team needs as required

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities
