Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Duties Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms Verify patient insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers Schedule appointments accurately using medical scheduling software, coordinate multiple-line phone systems, and manage appointment reminders Collect payments, process co-pays, and perform medical collections with attention to detail in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review and update medical records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality while maintaining compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Assist with documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and billing procedures for dental procedures using dental terminology and medical coding standards Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and dental charts while managing electronic health records (EHR) management systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries professionally via phone etiquette and ensuring a welcoming office atmosphere Skills Proven experience in dental office settings or healthcare clinics with strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinical workflows Proficiency in EHR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth; familiarity with Medisoft or eClinicalWorks is a plus Extensive knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, billing, claims submission, and understanding of health information management standards Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key typing), and electronic document management Excellent communication skills with bilingual abilities highly preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance policies to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), documentation review, care plans, and medical billing procedures Ability to handle multi-tasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; knowledge of hospital or clinic experience is advantageous Strong organizational skills including filing, data entry accuracy, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Join us in delivering outstanding dental care by providing seamless administrative support that keeps our practice running smoothly.
