Job Description:
The Front Office Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional environment both in person and over the phone. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless patient experience by efficiently coordinating front desk operations, maintaining accurate information, and supporting clinical workflows. The ideal candidate delivers exceptional customer service, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients professionally and courteously Answer calls, take accurate messages, and direct inquiries appropriately Schedule, confirm, and adjust appointments Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-ups Manage medical records per policy Open/close office and maintain organized front desk operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Medical office experience and terminology preferred Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Basic computer skills and business math Physician office experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs) Frequent computer and phone use
