Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic, DEVOTED healthcare team in our mission-driven practice as a Medical Receptionist. We seek a caring, energetic and organized individual to be our first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Your CARE, enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic workflows. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical administrative support within a healthcare setting. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Schedule appointments accurately using our advanced Electronic Health Record (EHR) - Modernizing Medicine Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle patient billing with precision Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents, reviewing documentation for completeness, and updating patient information in our EHR Assist with medical scheduling, intake processes, and follow-up appointments to ensure smooth clinic operations Support medical office management tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Skills Extensive experience with medical collection processes, billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and documentation review. We will teach you! Proficiency in EMR systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding standards, Medicare procedures, and care plan documentation Ability to perform insurance verification accurately and manage Medicare claims processing Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with health information management software Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively when the need arises Prior clinic or office experience is preferred Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in clerical tasks such as filing and data entry Outstanding patient SERVICE skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities Experience working in healthcare environments demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced settings Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering
