Dental Receptionist /
Front Desk Coordinator About Us:
Smith & Wetterhus Dentistry is a family friendly, patient-focused dental practice dedicated to providing top-tier oral healthcare. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming, and efficient environment for our team and patients alike. We are currently looking for an energetic and organized Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
As the first point of contact, you will shape the patient experience. You will manage patient check-ins, coordinate schedules, handle phone inquiries, and assist with basic insurance verification. If you are a multitasking professional with a passion for customer service, we want to hear from you.
Salary:
[$23-$25 DOE] per hour

Full-time Schedule:
Monday 8-5, Tuesday 8-5, Wednesday 7-3, Thursday 8-5 We also offer summer hours during the months of July and August. Monday 8-3, Tuesday 8-3, Wednesday 7-3 and Thursday 8-3 No weekends

Key Responsibilities:
Welcome patients warmly upon arrival and manage the check-in/check-out process. Answer multi-line phone calls, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments efficiently. Maintain an organized, productive daily schedule using Dentrix software. Verify dental insurance benefits and accurately input plan data into patient files. Collect copays, deductibles, and account balances at the time of service. Give financial information to patients for diagnosed treatment Call broken or unscheduled treatment plans to help maintain a full productive schedule Maintain clean, organized front office and reception areas.
Qualifications & Experience:
Dental Experience:
Minimum 1 year working in a dental office setting (Required).
Software:
Strong proficiency with Dentrix dental software (Required).
Customer Service:
1+ years of face-to-face customer service experience (Required).
Insurance Knowledge:
Basic understanding of dental billing, codes, and insurance verification (Required).

Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and ability to multitask under pressure. How to
