Job Description

We are looking to hire a personable dental receptionist to join our dream team. The ideal candidate will be friendly, kind, and detail-oriented. Our new teammate must ensure that dental patients' appointments are appropriately scheduled, depending on the needs of the patients, and should provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities include entering patient information into Open Dental, answering patient questions, and arranging referrals to specialists. Hours seeing patients are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday. We are open to mentoring the right candidate who may have less experience with dental billing and/or software, but is strong with customer service and has the right attitude. We are looking to add a member to our team who will be with us longterm. Pay is based on experience. Benefits for fulltime employees may include medical, PTO, paid holidays, paid sick leave, dental care, 401K.
Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice. Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed. Assisting patients to fill out information forms. Preparing patients' charts and daily schedules for the team. Updating patient records and documenting communications. Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders. Accurately look up insurance information and provide accurate treatment estimates. Communicate with insurance companies to ensure patient payments are made. Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed. Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
Dental Receptionist Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Experience working in a dental office is a bonus. Sound knowledge of dental terminology. Proficient in dental practice management software (Open Dental). Working knowledge of general administrative practices. Good telephone etiquette. Exceptional organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills. Team-oriented. We can't wait to meet you.
