Our practice is owned by Dr. Jesse McClelland, a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a special interest in adult
ADD / ADHD.
This position provides a variety of office and administrative support services including reception, verification of eligibility and benefits, scheduling, reminder calls for the next day appointment, check-in and check-out appointments and other general office duties. Greet patients and visitors professionally, using an appropriate tone, as well as being pleasant and courteous at all times. Answer the phone consistently throughout your shift receiving communications from both patients and pharmacies, directing calls, and taking messages for providers. Efficiently and effectively work through communications received in our group email, prioritizing and responding to messages as appropriate. Have knowledge/become knowledgeable in the field of medications specifically relating to ADHD and mental health. Understanding the wide variety of uses and effects and be able to communicate this information effectively with pharmacies. Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with coworkers and patients. Learn how to navigate through software systems including AdvancedMD, Microsoft Office, and insurance verification websites. Schedule/cancel/reschedule appointments as needed by patient's request and/or scheduling guidelines of this practice. Maintain schedule accuracy by reviewing the schedule in advance and maintaining knowledge of the waitlist and future appointments to fill any unexpected openings. Verify and update patient's demographic and insurance information as needed. Identify, collect, and post co-payment and fees based on the information collected from verifing insurance eligibility and benefits. Check patients in and out for appointments including scheduling future appointments as instructed to maintain an accurate record of the day's appointments. Scan and file patient visit paperwork into the EHR throughout the day. Utilize the filing system we have for any paper records that are kept on the premises. Make reminder calls to patients for next day appointment and document in Advanced

Implement the No Show Policy process as needed. Document in AdvancedMD. Notify patients who are due for a follow up by using recall and waiting list. Document patient communication in AdvancedMD EHR and assign task to appropriate staff and/or departments for follow-up. Prepare next day and 7 days schedule for emergency preparedness. Post/display clinic closure signs for holidays and/or meetings. Assist with patient's complaints/grievances and provide satisfactory resolution. Contribute to team effort by achieving satisfactory results. Ability to stay calm under pressure Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner Education - High school graduate or equivalent. Experience - Two years' experience in a health care setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
