Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our dental practice. In this vital role, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, handle insurance verifications, and ensure smooth administrative operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting the clinical team behind the scenes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a friendly, fast-paced dental environment where excellent customer service and efficient office management are paramount. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service from check-in to check-out Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems including eClinicalWorks or similar platforms Collect payments, perform medical collections, and manage financial transactions with attention to detail Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette and effective communication skills Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards such as
CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9
codes Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and coordinating care plans in collaboration with clinical staff Manage filing of medical records and organize medical administrative support tasks efficiently Support office management by handling clerical duties such as data entry, typing (including 10-key), and maintaining organized files Skills Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong front desk or receptionist background Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth; proficiency in Meditech or similar platforms is a plus Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and insurance billing processes Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing speed (10-key), and familiarity with office management software like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Experience with multi-line phone systems and medical scheduling software to coordinate appointments seamlessly Ability to review documentation thoroughly for accuracy while maintaining high levels of organization and efficiency Join our team as a Dental Front Desk Receptionist where your enthusiasm for helping others combined with your administrative expertise will make a meaningful difference every day.
