Dental Front Office Coordinator Overview We're seeking an experienced Dental Front Office Coordinator for a busy private dental practice in East Vancouver, WA. This is a single-dentist practice with hygiene support and a clearly defined front office role for someone who is confident in dental administration, patient communication, scheduling, treatment presentation, insurance verification, eligibility, and financial conversations. The right person for this role will have a minimum of three years of current Dental Admin experience, be dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a productive patient-facing environment. You should be confident keeping the schedule full, reviewing treatment costs with patients, collecting patient portions at the time of service, and helping patients understand available payment or financing options. This position is supported by an expert external billing team that handles claim submission, claim follow-up, insurance payment posting, patient statements, and AR. That support allows the Front Office Coordinator to stay focused on the day-to-day front office responsibilities that keep the practice running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Patient Engagement:
Be the welcoming face and trusted guide for our patients, ensuring they feel informed, cared for, and valued at every visit. Treatment Planning:
Partner directly with our dentist to create and present personalized treatment plans that clearly outline options, procedures, and timelines, empowering patients to make confident decisions about their care. Financial Coordination:
Confidently review treatment costs, collect patient portions at the time of service, and discuss payment or financing options with professionalism and empathy. Help patients feel informed and comfortable with the financial side of their care. Insurance Verification & Experience:
Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility accurately, understand insurance plan set-ups, and communicate coverage details clearly. Work closely with our external billing team to ensure seamless coordination between insurance processing and patient communication. Schedule Management:
Coordinate and manage all patient appointments efficiently, balancing patient satisfaction with practice productivity. Administrative Excellence:
Oversee front office systems and patient records to ensure smooth, organized daily operations. Experience with Open Dental software is a plus. Team Collaboration:
Serve as a key liaison between patients, our dentist, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and a seamless flow of information and care. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years in dental administration Strong proficiency with patient accounts and financial coordination Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills Proficiency in Open Dental software is advantageous but not required Ability to work independently in a busy private practice setting with clear front office responsibilities and strong external billing support A patient-centered mindset and confidence discussing treatment options and financial arrangements Compensation and Benefits Pay:
$30.00 per hour, starting Benefits:
