Job Description

Busy podiatry practice looking for a dynamic individual with strong customer service abilities. Candidate must be able to multi-task and have proficiency with written and oral communication. Looking for someone who can work independently as well as with a team.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Plus would be one year related experience and/or training, preferably in a clinic environment
Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for acting as the initial point of contact in person and over the phone for patients. Manage doctors schedules by creating, cancelling and moving appointments. Respond to inquiries, coordinate and maintain documentation and complete administrative tasks. Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner as they enter the office
  • Answers incoming telephone calls in a courteous manner on a multi-line telephone system, routes calls or takes accurate messages
  • Works efficiently using our electronic medical record program
  • Schedules and cancels patient appointments and notifies clinicians when necessary
  • Collects co-payments and past due balances
  • Interacts with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
  • Operates standard office equipment including computer, printer, and copy/fax machine
  • Sends and distributes faxes to the appropriate location
  • Follows all designated opening and closing procedures for the reception area and waiting rooms
  • Assists in the training of new support staff members
  • Works effectively on a daily basis with all professional staff, support staff and management
  • Other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment:
This is a fulltime position, Monday through Friday at our East Office at 4237 Lien Rd, Madison,WI 53704. Candidate must also be an able to work at our West Clinic when coverage is needed (due to sickness or vacation of coworker) at 6510 Grand Teton Plaza,Suite 406, Madison, WI 53719.
Hours of Operation:
8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through
Friday Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
