Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist/Office Management professional to join our vibrant dental practice. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our clinic, managing front desk operations while ensuring smooth office workflows. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help create a positive patient experience, coordinate appointments, handle dental billing and coding, and support overall office management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a busy dental environment where efficiency and excellent patient service are paramount. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and assist with patient intake processes using electronic dental records with systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Schedule appointments efficiently, manage multi-line phone systems, and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily workflow. Verify dental insurance benefits, process claims, and perform dental collection activities using systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Maintain accurate dental and medical records by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, Dental claims, and dental billing to ensure timely reimbursement. Manage office supplies, filing systems, and administrative tasks such as data entry with high proficiency in Microsoft Office and 10-key typing. Support office management duties including staff scheduling, patient follow-up calls, insurance verification, and ensuring adherence to health information management standards. Requirements Prior dental office experience; familiarity with dental terminology such as Dental Care Plans, dental procedures and Dental Office Management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding practices. Familiarity with systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review procedures to safeguard patient information. Ability to perform insurance verification, billing processes, and collections confidently using Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and strong communication abilities in bilingual settings preferred. Demonstrated clerical experience including scanning and managing digital files, data entry (10-key typing), and managing multi-line phone systems efficiently. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with health information management. Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail; previous hospital or healthcare experience is beneficial. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
