Job Description

Position Summary:
The Health Information Transcriptionist transcribes documents for use in the medical chart. These documents shall include any reports that are appropriate for the medical chart. The transcriptionist must be proficient in medical terminology. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is also of great assistance. Transcriptionist should be able to meet or exceed dictation requirements, as indicated by current manager. Adaptability is essential, because the transcriptionist works with many types of people.
Required Education/Training/Experience:
High school education preferred with skills and experience in MS Word, transcription and medical terminology.
