The Medical Scribe will support patients, providers, and the rest of the medical team by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time, assisting with administrative tasks, and adapting to the ever-evolving needs of the clinic. This position is essential for not only ensuring complete medical records but also enhancing the quality of patient care and advocating for patients. The ideal Medical Scribe will have strong skills in a variety of areas: attention to detail, time management, effective communication with patients and providers, a problem-solving mindset, and flexibility to take responsibility for tasks as they come up in a fast-paced medical office. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians in Neurology and Vascular Surgery specialties at two clinical locations in Phoenix. While this position is an ideal learning experience for those interested in long-term careers in medicine, we expect at least a 1-year commitment to best serve our clinic's needs. The start date for this position is 8/1/2025, with an expected 2-3 week period prior to the start date reserved for on-site training.
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required) Bachelor's degree in medicine-related field (preferred) Work experience as a medical scribe or similar role (preferred)Responsibilities:
Document all patient encounters with accuracy and efficiency using our electronic health record (EHR) system Collaborate with providers and the rest of the medical team to complete medical records and streamline patient care Complete administrative tasks such as documentation of medical testing, calls to answer patient questions, scheduling, resolving issues with referrals, etc., as needed Interact with and communicate with patients and providers professionallySkills:
Proficient in typing with speed and accuracy to ensure timely documentation Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential for effective communication. This can be obtained from prior courses in biology or prior experience as a medical scribe Commitment to keep the privacy of all patient information that you learn throughout your duties Familiarity and comfort with a general medical office setting, including standard expectations for professional behavior Ability to navigate EHR systems efficiently Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate medical documentation Strong communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and patients Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards Adaptability to cover provider and patient needs as they arise An interest in neurology is a plus!Schedule and Logistics:
