Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Scribe in Hematology/ Oncology, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of clinical documentation. In this fast-paced position, you will work closely with healthcare providers to transcribe and document patient encounters in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical records. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute directly to delivering exceptional patient care and streamlining clinical workflows. Flexible hours - 2 or 3 days a week is ok Responsibilities Accurately transcribe detailed notes during patient examinations, including history, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Utilize EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input and update patient information efficiently and securely. Assist healthcare providers by documenting medical terminology clearly and precisely during patient interactions. Maintain organized and complete medical records in accordance with legal and institutional standards. Support the clinical team by managing documentation workflows, ensuring timely updates of patient charts. Review and verify the accuracy of medical records for completeness and consistency. Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation processes and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Qualifications Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is preferable Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret and transcribe clinical information. Experience handling and organizing medical records with attention to detail. Excellent listening skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Proactive attitude with strong communication skills to support a collaborative healthcare environment.
