Job Description:

As an Urgent Care Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a critical role in our healthcare team. You will work with healthcare providers to accurately and efficiently document patient encounters, ensuring that medical records are complete and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation:

Accurately transcribe medical information, including patient history, physical exams, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans, into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Maintain EMR:

Ensure that all patient charts are complete, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards and protocols.

Communication:

Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and other team members, including nurses and support staff.

Data Entry:

Manage data entry tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

HIPAA Compliance:

Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework (i.e. Medical Terminology) in a related field is a plus. Previous medical transcriptionist experience is preferred but not required Strong typing skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Salary:

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.
