This role is ideal for someone in their final year of school or gap years looking to gain hands-on medical experience. The position will begin as part time, and transition to full time (32 hours a week). Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dermatology Medical Scribe to support our medical team. The ideal candidate will assist dermatologists by accurately transcribing clinical notes, managing medical documentation, and ensuring precise record-keeping within electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role is essential for enhancing clinic efficiency, improving patient care documentation, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Prior experience in medical office settings or emergency room environments is a plus, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Responsibilities Transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time during dermatology consultations with high accuracy. Document detailed clinical notes, including patient history, examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans within EHR and EMR systems. Manage and organize medical records to ensure confidentiality and easy retrieval of patient information. Utilize medical terminology effectively to accurately reflect clinical observations and procedures. Assist in maintaining up-to-date documentation standards in accordance with healthcare regulations. Support physicians by preparing documentation for billing, coding, and insurance purposes as needed. Skills Proven experience in transcription within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, preferrably EMA . Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed to keep up with clinical workflows. Prior experience working in a medical office or emergency room environment is highly desirable. Ability to understand and interpret complex medical information quickly and accurately. Part-time Tuesdays & Thursdays (full day)
Starting Summer:
Full-time (~32 hours/week) 5 days/week when current scribe leaves for medical school Every other
Saturday:
Half day clinic Please apply only if you are available to work 5 days/week starting in the summer. Minimum 2-year commitment
