Medical Scribe / Clinical Assistant - Medical Experience Required Beverly Hills/Newport Beach Plastic Surgeon Beverly Hills, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $24 - $26 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork HIPAA Attention to detail Patient care Health information regulatory compliance Typing Clinical confidentiality policies Full Job Description We are a busy plastic surgery practice with locations in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach seeking a part-time Medical Scribe / Clinical Assistant to assist physicians with patient care, procedures, and clinical documentation. This role is ideal for someone interested in healthcare, medicine, or plastic surgery who enjoys working directly with physicians and patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview:
The Medical Scribe / Clinical Assistant supports physicians by assisting with patient flow, documenting visits and procedures, preparing charts, and helping facilitate an efficient and exceptional patient experience. This role allows physicians to spend more time focused on patient care while ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Hours:
Part-time position (approximately 20-28 hours per week) with option for full time. Availability on Mondays and Friday is required Minimum commitment of 2-3 shifts per week
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review patient charts prior to appointments Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and intake information before physician evaluation Accompany physicians during patient visits and procedures to document clinical encounters in real time Accurately document consultations, procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions within the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with entering lab orders and documenting results as directed by the physician Document imaging results, laboratory findings, and other evaluations as instructed Support patient flow and facilitate efficient communication between patients and physicians Perform additional administrative and clinical duties as needed to support practice operations
Requirements:
Previous medical scribing, medical assistant, healthcare, or clinical experience preferred Strong typing skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Professional demeanor with strong communication skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred Interest in plastic surgery, aesthetics, healthcare, or medicine strongly preferred Comfortable working closely with physicians during procedures and patient visits
Compensation:
Compensation based on experience.
