Dermatology Medical Assistant / Scribe (4-5 Days/Week) MedDerm Dermatology - San Diego, CA MedDerm Dermatology is a well-established private practice in San Diego, specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology, Mohs surgery, and clinical trials. Our team of six providers is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive skin care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Scribe to join our team 4-5 days per week (no weekends). The ideal candidate is proactive, compassionate, and a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting. Bonus points if you have a good sense of humor—because we believe laughter (like sunscreen) is an essential part of a healthy routine. Responsibilities Welcome patients, obtain and document medical histories, and prepare for provider visits Assist providers with medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology procedures Accurately scribe during patient encounters to ensure thorough documentation Support clinical flow, including sterilizing instruments and stocking exam rooms Provide professional patient education and clear communication Contribute to a respectful, efficient, and team-oriented workplace Qualifications Minimum of 1 - 2 year of medical assisting experience required. Dermatology experience preferred but not required. Ability to type 60+ words per minute with accuracy Strong attention to detail, service orientation, and social perceptiveness Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team-focused mindset with a commitment to patient care excellence
