Medical Scribe Santa Barbara, CA 93101 From $21 an hour - Part-time From $21 an hour - Part-time Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Scribe, where you'll be the vital link between physicians and medical documentation. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance patient care by accurately capturing clinical encounters in real-time. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with the Nephrologist to transcribe detailed medical information, ensuring precise and comprehensive records that support quality patient outcomes. Your contribution will be instrumental in streamlining clinical workflows and improving overall efficiency within a fast-paced medical environment. Duties Transcribe detailed physician-patient interactions accurately during medical examinations. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to input, update, and manage patient data efficiently. Assist the Nephrologist by documenting vital signs, medical histories, physical exam findings, and treatment plans in real-time. Ensure all medical documentation adheres to confidentiality standards and complies with healthcare regulations. Support the organization of medical records by maintaining accurate, organized, and accessible files. Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to enhance documentation precision. Requirements Proven experience in transcription, with excellent typing skills for rapid and accurate data entry. Prior experience working in a medical office or clinical setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems is essential. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation standards. Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and adapt to evolving healthcare technologies. Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms. Previous medical scribe experience or exposure to fast-paced clinical settings is a significant advantage.
