Certified Medical Assistant Geriatrics Full Job Description Duties:
- Provide support for physicians and all other providers.
- Responsible for all clinical and administrative tasks as a medical assistant in addition to scribing an encounter note.
- Ensures all plan recommendations are accurate, complete, and carried out
- Assist in various administrative tasks including, but not limited to phone answering, lab and radiology review, updating quality assurance measures, scheduling office appointments, medication refills, prior authorizations, faxes, triage.
- Assist in clinical tasks such as injections, EKG, audiometry, Snellen, capillary draw, UA, strep screen, COVID testing, culture collection, spirometry, ear lavage, recording vital signs
- Maintain nurses station
- Ensure supplies/equipment are available, in good condition, and are not expired
- Stocking
- Other administrative and clinical tasks delegated by management/supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in medical terminology and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
