Job Description
The Medical Scribe position will: Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physician. Enter the patient room with physician during visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation. Update patient history, exam and other pertinent health information in the patient chart Gain substantial knowledge in how to appropriately document patient history, physical exams, assessments, diagnostic results, medical procedures, treatment plans, medical opinions of consultants, diagnoses, medication / prescription information, and follow-up instructions Complies with medical facility policies, including those related to HIPAA Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned. Our office paper charting based.
Qualifications/Skills:
Skilled in computer based word-processing (Microsoft Office) Administrative writing skills
Record-keeping Typing Verbal Communication Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Required:
1-Year Experience in Medical Scribe Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred:
Experience in EHR System Modernizing Medicine (ModMed)
