The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, enabling them to accurately transcribe medical reports and documents. This role is crucial in ensuring that patient records are precise and up-to-date, supporting healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. Duties Transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written documents with high accuracy. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure correct interpretation of medical data. Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and adherence to established guidelines. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any discrepancies or unclear dictations. Manage and organize medical documents within the office system for easy retrieval. Requirements Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy is essential. Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Strong typing skills with attention to detail and accuracy in transcribing documents. Excellent listening skills to accurately capture dictated information. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines. Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record systems is a plus.
