Medical Scribe Location:
Oak Lawn, IL Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Scribe to join our ophthalmology practice in Oak Lawn, IL. The ideal candidate will have prior medical experience and a strong understanding of medical terminology, particularly within ophthalmology. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with our physicians to accurately document patient encounters, allowing providers to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, and other relevant information during ophthalmology patient visits. Assist physicians by transcribing notes, diagnostic results, and treatment plans in real-time. Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards. Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate efficient patient flow and documentation processes. Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications Previous medical experience, preferably in an ophthalmology or related clinical setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation. Excellent listening, typing, and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
