Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in documenting patient encounters and medical histories
- Transcribe medical information accurately and efficiently
- Enter data into electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and complete documentation
- Prepare medical charts and records for patient visits
- Organize and manage medical records, including filing and retrieval
Skills:
- Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy
- Proficient in using EHR systems and other medical software
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with various medical specialties, such as ophthalmology, is a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with healthcare professionals
