Job Description

Caledonia Vision is hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe. No experience required — we provide paid on-the-job training. If you love working with people, learn quickly, and want to grow in a modern, supportive eye-care practice, we'd love to meet you. What you'll do Run advanced diagnostic technology: OCT, wavefront aberrometer, corneal topographer, visual field testing, digital refraction, and digital glasses fitting Scribe for the doctor — maintain detailed charting, coding, patient communication, and follow-up Work one-on-one with patients to troubleshoot glasses and contact lens issues before the exam and document medical history Teach patients to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses Assist with minor in-office procedures (punctal plugs, amniotic membrane placement) Support Ortho-K patients with imaging and coaching for myopia control Coordinate records and imaging with primary care and specialty offices What we're looking for A friendly, upbeat personality and genuine enjoyment of helping people Strong customer-service instincts and a calm, organized approach to a busy day A clear, warm phone manner and good written communication Comfort learning new technology (we're an early-adopter practice) Reliability and attention to detail Prior ophthalmic, optometric, medical, or customer-service experience is a plus but not required Why you'll love working here Paid hands-on training and room to grow your skills A close-knit team of 10 who genuinely support each other Cutting-edge equipment in a comfortable, well-run office A monthly in-office massage from our contracted massage therapist A practice led by a recognized leader in the field A warm, family-feel culture and patients who become regulars Ready to apply?
