Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Scribe and Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and precision will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical workflows. In this vital role, you will assist healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters, managing electronic health records (EHR), and supporting clinical operations. Responsibilities Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time during medical examinations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems. Prepare and update detailed medical documentation, including patient histories, progress notes, and treatment plans, ensuring clarity and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and supporting minor procedures. Manage electronic health records by organizing, updating, and maintaining accurate medical records while achieving HIPAA compliance at all times. Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to facilitate precise documentation and effective communication within the team. Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Maintain a high level of professionalism by adhering to clinical confidentiality policies and safeguarding sensitive patient information. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe with familiarity in EMR/EHR systems. Strong transcription skills with the ability to type quickly and accurately during live patient encounters. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures is highly desirable. Experience with medical documentation standards and achieving HIPAA compliance in handling protected health information (PHI). Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise recordkeeping of medical records and clinical notes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Prior experience in emergency room settings or with medical transcription is a plus.
