Job Description

Oakland Macomb OB/GYN is one of the leading privately owned medical practices in southeast Michigan. We are currently interviewing for a Full Time Scribe. This position will be a direct report to our Clinical Support Manager and would be scheduled to work at multiple locations in support of Oakland Macomb Physician/Patient scheduled. This is a full time position, averaging 36-40 hours a week, which may include at least one 12 hour shift. Office location will rotate based on your assigned provider; Rochester Hills, Troy, Lenox and Lake Orion (summer 2026).
Roles and Responsibilities:
Take/record Vital Signs Thorough documentation of health information and visit summary in Allscripts Injection administration Set up and assist with office procedures Non-stress test setup Ability to maintain focus, calm and an unbiased manner during busy schedules and issues resolution Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines•charting for 30-35 patients per day Ability to take direction and adapt to change Demonstrate ability to be a direct extension of the Physician Ensure all process/procedure knowledge and actions falls with department standards Maintains professional and positive team relationships and work environment Displays willingness and ability to engage in a team approach and professional manner at times Team Player•share job tasks without direction Cross Trained to Medical Assistant Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent clinical knowledge preferred Proficient skills and abilities in•intermediate and above level of operations with MS Office Proficient skills and abilities in EMR Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
1 year(s) OB GYN experience Allscripts EMR experience
MA Certification Physical Environment:
Medical practice setting with administration centers and patient exam and procedure rooms in all centers. Office and Medical/procedural equipment present. Lifting of no more than 10 lbs. occasionally Frequent sitting, standing, bending intervals at computer station and patient care area up to 8 hours per day Walking between patients care room and lab areas Clinical and Administrative team presence, not an isolated work area
