Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Scribe and Assistant, where your energetic support will streamline clinical workflows and enhance patient care experiences. In this vital role, you will assist healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters, managing medical records, and supporting administrative tasks within a fast-paced medical environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to efficient clinic operations and improved patient outcomes. Duties Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure precise documentation of symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans Support physicians and medical staff by managing medical records, updating patient information, and organizing documentation for easy retrieval Assist with scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and coordinating patient flow within the clinic environment Maintain accurate records of patient encounters, test results, and treatment histories in compliance with healthcare regulations Utilize physiology and anatomy knowledge to accurately interpret medical information and support clinical decision-making Support emergency room staff by documenting urgent care procedures and assisting with rapid data entry during high-pressure situations Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, preparing paperwork, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office Skills Proficiency in transcription with excellent typing speed and accuracy to capture detailed clinical information swiftly Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and common medical procedures Experience working in a medical office setting or with EMR/EHR systems is highly preferred Knowledge of medical documentation standards and recordkeeping practices to ensure compliance with privacy laws Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with emergency room procedures or experience in urgent care settings is a plus Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with healthcare providers and patients This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in healthcare support.
